Belt Ranking System

Rank Testing
Our system does not require students to test frequently. Rank testing is conducted two times per year. Students are promoted based on their skill, not necessarily time spent in the system. You will be informed by Calasanz or your head instructor when you are ready to test. It is recommended that if you wish to progress in the martial arts, take the tests as directed by Calasanz. Please note that a testing fee is charged for each rank test and must be paid at the time of testing. Understand that this is a system where you can become proficient in several disciplines. At the beginning however, you train to become a black belt in The Calasanz System. Once you have accomplished this goal, you can choose to master a single discipline, or several of them available at the School.

Videotaped Rank Test
We videotape each students rank test. This is a great way to review your performance and pinpoint the areas of your training that need improvement. It’s also a great way to watch your skills improve as you go from one rank to another. Imagine seeing yourself perform as a white belt and later witness the amazing transformation in your black belt video. A charge for this service is included in your rank test fee.
